I feel like Amani Craft got it almost nearly right with the recent drop of Dante's Inferno flower. While it was very aromatic on opening the bag, the dryness of the buds was quite disappointing. The notes on opening were very lovely, a complex mix of funky, sweet citrus and a hint of fruit. I do wonder if the very feelable dryness muted some of the aromas in the end since while grinding it was like the smell was going through dry down instead of opening up. The trichomes were quite thick and a mix of clear and milky. They are even thick enough to have the buds turn out frosted. Sadly, I think the boveda just couldn't actually put enough moisture back into the buds or they started out very dry indeed since it had been only in the package a month. It's also far too early to tell if the cure was actually good. It ground okay but didn't properly get the right magic sand texture. The smoke echoed that dryness as well, burning a bit hot and a bit too fast for how potentially resinous it should have been. The flavor was quite nice at the beginning with the fruit notes much more prominent than the bag aroma. It also was heavily gassy throughout the whole smoke. The ending was a lot more earthy and lost all the fruit by that point. This might do much better in short small joints or a bong rather than a longer one like I smoked. It also might do quite well in a dry herb vape as most extra dry flower does. The high was very heady with a kind of creeping body relaxation. I did find it much more evening orientated but I did have a poor reaction to it after my smoke. While this was nice to try, I still think their GastroPop from earlier this winter was a superior product if you want to compare quality.
